About

Weston. Meaning “From the town of the West.” Years ago my parents had a fondness for the name that they would give to their firstborn. It is almost as if they knew it would one day be a nice blog title long before the internet was a household phenomenon.

There are always at least two attributes to every topic, discussion, or principle. Is one right and the other wrong? Are they both right because we have no right to choose who sees more clearly?

I am young, so I do not claim to have all of the answers. Further, I am an imperfect being by far. I know that my mind alone cannot create sense out of the world.

But when you break something down into its individual pieces, keep the holistic purpose in mind, and maintain the desire to know your Creator first and foremost, some pretty amazing discoveries can be made and the truth becomes more clear.

I think you’ll find the answer does not lie strictly in the ‘East’ or the ‘West’, but in the principles that connect both of them.

Cool. I think we got most of the stereotypes and descriptive labels out! If anyone finds another that applies, let me know. We all seek to define ourselves.

While these terms are great at helping you see where I may be coming from, they don’t actually explain much of who I am. That is not something I can not convey in words because do any of us truly know who we are? Is that not why we are constantly trying to identify ourselves in new, descriptive terms?I know I am always changing.

I know I am always changing, yet always still the same.

I am left to rely on my actions and words to speak for who I am. How can I say what parts of me are constant and which are things God will change in the future? But from my actions, I hope more than anything that you see I am a self-proclaimed imperfect human who makes mistakes daily, but deep down desires to grow ever closer to my Creator and Savior.
